  1. My life has come full circle! Ralph Webster has been the catalyst for my work on the eghillinois.org site otherwise know as the Illinois Firefighter Life Safety Task Force. Rhett and John have been a hug blogging inspiration to me….so to see the two unite is perfect.

If you are interested in learning more about the Illinois Firefighter Life Safety Task Force you can find them all over the web:

As an Instructor for IFLSTF and NFFF, EOGH/ CTBS Program, I believe that we can Change the Culture, Behaviors, and Attitudes of the Illinois Fire Service, so that we do Our Jobs Safer, reducing LODD’s and Injuries.I’m approaching my first year as a CTBS Instructor and have heard many horror stories, of Near-misses and just plain bad compliancey, in the way we do Our Job. I encourage everyone to see The Scotty Lietz Story and learn from his experiance. He was a former Chicago Fire Fighter, who is no long with us. God Bless him for sharing his Story,so that we may learn, to do Our Jobs Safer. You can view his Story at on http://www.EveryOneGoesHome.com website, under Media Clips. Show it, to all your Firefighters.
As CTBS Instructors, we must show Passion, Committment, Leadership and Belief, in this CTBS Program ,everytime it is presented!! Change is Hard, with change comes, mistakes, learning experiance’s! We in The Fire Service ,don’t like to fail, make mistakes, but, if we all Go Home after a call, even tho, we didn’t save a building or a life that was already lost before we arrived! Did we really Fail?? We all know the Answer to that!!
So, in closing, Remember, We Can Make A Difference, in The Fire Service, we just have to Belive!!
I can be contacted to help, (thru The EGHIllinois web site),in anyway you might need; CTBS Materials, classes, help with a Program, co-teaching, Seat Belt Pledges. I believe in ” Whatever It Takes” (Our Illinois Honor Guard Motto ),
